ATI’s next line of Radeon graphics cards—the RV770-based 4800 series—doesn’t officially launch until June 25, but Hot Hardware’s got benchmarks already on the first shot, the mid-range $199 Radeon HD 4850.The performance is pretty on par with the pricepoint—it edges out the currently more expensive GTX 9800 though it struggles against the 3870 X2 and Nvidia’s fresh-off-the-boat and doubly expensive GTX 260. If you’re in the market for a mid-range ATI card, this might be it, but I’d wait for a showdown against the similarly priced 9800 GTX+ if possible.

The speed racing bike concept is inspired by the alien characters in “Alien.” This motorbike is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible and based on a Kawasaki ninjas stats (height, wheel base etc…), Daniel Bailey, the designer, tried to make the bike rugged while maintaining a certain level of sleekness. We got word that the ASUS Eee PC 1000 and 1000H was to begin selling on Wednesday this week in Taiwan and we instantly set about trying to buy one.The new 10-inch Intel Atom powered sub-notebooks with 802.11n wireless were actually available from local retailers yesterday with a huge demand but we managed to pick one up today for an early look here at TweakTown. We preferred the Eee PC 1000 (40GB SSD) but from what we were told, the Eee PC 1000H (80GB HDD) has came out first.
Asus’s Eee PC 1000H is the least Eee-like Eee yet—big, pricey ($649) and it has a regular ol’ platter hard drive. Laptop Mag says the extra screen real estate makes it the most productive yet Continue reading…
The blind don’t really have it good where cell phone technology is concerned, and hopefully something like the Sens concept you see here will materialize sometime in the future. This concept phone by Takumi Yoshida, looks wavier than a water bed bearing a Sumo wrestler. That’s because it’s made for the blind and the nearly blind, with lighted sides that help convey different alert messages and curvy tactile keys that make it distinguishable for the visually impaired. It would also be good for those users who want to feel as if they have squeezed their phone into a different shape, causing it to bulge. Great idea for the sight-impaired as there aren’t many phones they can use easily.

This leaked Sony Ericsson’s F305 phone is notable for a couple reasons. One, it’s their first motion gaming phone under the F-line . Two, it’s got PlayStation buttons on there, namely the O and the X, giving users an NES-level of complexity to the games.Other details are slightly less impressive. It’s quad-band GSM with only EDGE, has a Power Pack CCP-100 purchasable accessory for backup battery capabilities, stereo rear speakers, Bluetooth connectivity to other phones for multiplayer, Memory Stick Micro slot, built-in FM, TrackID track recognition, and a “selected market” release in Q3 of this year.
