BMW is updating their 7 series for the 2009.Still “powered by the same twin-turbo 4.4L V8 that debuted in the X6, rated at 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.”This time the 7-series is mostly uncamouflaged and lacking in the Flowbee package; also, it looks as though someone has squirted a bit of water on the flame surfacing relative to the previous generation. British Vauxhall Cars Have New Camera That Scans Signs, Displays Current Speed Limit.Although various GPS units already have the ability to display the current speed limit (they’re pre-programmed in) of the road you’re on, this Vauxhall Motors invention seems even better. There’s a camera on-board that takes 30 snaps per second, then recognizing speed limit signs and translating that to a number to display on your dash.

This way you can know exactly what the speed limit is at all times, even when you’ve just transitioned from a high speed area to a low speed one that cops like to ticket in. In fact, if this system is good enough, it could be a decent excuse to tell the popos that their speed limit signs were too obscured that even a 30FPS camera couldn’t make it.
The Vauxhall speed limit detector is planned to appear on the upcoming Insignia sedan, and could be available on 2010 models of United States cars.

A second supercar could appear based on the FXX development program, we think it far more likely that one vehicle will prevail, borrowing on themes and components from both the Millechili and the FXX test-bed.With the Enzo now out of production, and no mega-super-car in the Ferrari stable, the prancing stallion brand believes the Millechili concept, first revealed at the automaker’s 60th anniversary extravaganza, to move from the realm of conceptual toilet paper tubes to production.

The buff book’s sources report Ferrari is looking to see the Ferrari Millechili hit the streets as a 2010 model. One approach is reportedly being based on the Millechili concept, which as you’ll recall was essentially a chopped-down Enzo crafted out of cardboard and plastic holding the promise of environmentally-friendly specs. The production vehicle is tipped to be based on the F430’s platform remember that the 288 GTO and F40 were based on modified 308 underpinnings – but feature a 600hp V10 in a lightweight 1000kg package, with a lengthened wheelbase of around 104 inces, a $500,000 price tag and a production run of 300.
